Our Services
We have acquired a range of field survey equipment to enable comprehensive surveys of wildlife. Such equipment includes a 4WD vehicle, radio telemetry receivers and antennae, mammal traps, hair tubes, Anabat bat detectors, GPS units, and firearms including a tranquilliser gun.
Our services focus on flora and fauna surveys and include:
- Analysis of recorded micro-bat calls (Anabat) and bat surveys;
- Live trapping of fauna species (subject to approval);
- Hair tube surveys;
- Ecological research on specific species including habitat utilisation and requirements, animal movements and home range analysis (radio telemetry);
- Population monitoring;
- Fauna dietary studies;
- Tranquillising of larger fauna species such as Kangaroos, Wallabies, Koalas as well as feral Deer and Goats, for relocation or research purposes such as attaching radio-collars;
- Vegetation condition assessments;
- Feral animal control e.g. fox and rabbit baiting or shooting;
- Vegetation and/or habitat mapping using Geographic Information Systems (GIS) including MapInfo and ArcView;
- Preparation of management plans.
